About Us

Andean Bear Studios is a software development and consulting studio established in Winterthur in 2026. We build apps using human design and leverage the power of AI to produce beautiful, intuitive interfaces that get out of your way. We value simplicity as much as we value efficiency, which makes us walk a fine line between providing too many features and producing purposeful apps. Nevertheless, this is a challenge we enjoy. Finally, we do take privacy very seriously and try our best not to log any unnecessary user data. That is why most of our apps have no accounts, or collect minimal personal information. It is a choice we make whenever we can.

Beyond the products we offer, the studio also takes on a small number of software projects for other small businesses. We provide these with the same care and standards as to our own products. If you have something that needs building, please do not hesitate to Get in touch.

Our Principles

Privacy is the default.
Products are built to need the least data possible, and to say plainly when they don’t.
Designed by humans, for humans
People design, iterate and polish every app. Nothing is built on a single prompt. AI is just another great tool.
Not everything is a SaaS
Pay it once, own it forever. We don’t believe every piece of software needs to be a SaaS. Some apps we ship will require this for obvious reasons, like server costs. Others won’t because you should own what you pay for.
