Question 1

What happens after I buy an app?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the product. RetroDot Timer Pro is a one-time in-app purchase through the Mac App Store — Apple handles the purchase and it unlocks automatically on your Apple ID, no license key involved. Zenden Pro is a subscription ($8/month or $80/year) that gives you access to TURN relay and cloud async upload for as long as the subscription is active, delivered as a license key with no account required.

Question 2

Can I move Zenden Pro to a different device?

Accepted Answer

Yes — deactivate it from the app's settings on your current device and the license frees up immediately, so you can activate it on another. RetroDot Timer has no license to manage — it's a Mac App Store in-app purchase tied to your Apple ID.

Question 3

Does Zenden Pro require a subscription?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Zenden Pro is a subscription: $8/month or $80/year (annual saves two months). You can cancel at any time from the Paddle billing portal — your Pro features remain active through the end of the paid period. RetroDot Timer Pro is a one-time $4.99 in-app purchase through the Mac App Store, with no subscription and no separate billing to manage.

Question 4

What is your refund policy?

Accepted Answer

RetroDot Timer Pro is purchased entirely through the Mac App Store, so refunds go through Apple: use the "Report a Problem" flow at reportaproblem.apple.com and Apple handles it directly, per their standard policy. For Zenden Pro subscriptions, contact us within 30 days of a billing charge at contact@andeanbearstudios.com and we will issue a refund — you can also cancel anytime from the Paddle billing portal to stop future charges.

Question 5

What does the free version of Zenden include?

Accepted Answer

The free tier of Zenden is fully unlocked for direct P2P transfers: unlimited file size, unlimited recipients, folders, multi-file sessions, and sessions up to 48 hours in the app (7 days via the CLI). No credit card, no account. Free also includes a 2 GB/month TURN relay courtesy per device, tied to a device identifier rather than an account, for the networks where a direct connection can't be made — home broadband and office Wi-Fi handle P2P fine on their own; mobile hotspots, carrier-grade NAT, and corporate firewalls are where the relay earns its keep. Pro raises that allowance to 100 GB/month and adds Cloud Link, so recipients can download for up to 48 hours even after you close the app.

Question 6

Is there a data limit on Zenden Pro?

Accepted Answer

Direct P2P transfers (the default path) are unlimited — no cap on file size or volume. The 100 GB/month limit applies only to TURN relay traffic, which is the fallback used when a direct connection cannot be established. TURN relay kicks in on networks that aggressively block P2P: mobile hotspots with carrier-grade NAT, corporate firewalls, and connections behind iCloud Private Relay. Most users never hit the relay cap because most transfers complete directly. If your workflow involves exclusively relayed transfers (e.g., you send from a mobile hotspot daily), 100 GB covers approximately 10–20 typical large-file sessions per month.
